Beds

For someone who has been following the Euro 2012 well into the night and losing sleep over it, it certainly makes sense to have a post on the most creative beds out there...maybe after this I will finally be able to catch up on some sleep ;)

Food porn....Snacks

After a long hiatus, I'm back to blogging. Blame it on the pressures and tribulations of modern professional life, or on my slight laziness...:) Having had a sumptuous, bar/finger-food spread for a very late lunch yesterday at one of my favorite neighborhood pubs (Quench, Bandra Reclamation), I started pondering on the importance of snacks/finger food in our diets. Not only are they essential to our bodies to satiate those mid-morning/afternoon hunger pangs, but they can also bring peace to an overactive and restless mind filled with gluttony fueled cravings. For a more healthy approach, I have a look at some guilt-free snacks which are still very very appetizing. Here are a few interesting pics:

Kale Chips
 Broccoli Fritters
 Fennel Chips
 Olive Tapenade
 Korean seaweed rolls
 yogurt pesto dip
 Japanese chicken meatballs

Khal Drogo and Game of Thrones

It's hard to believe that we shall have to wait for another full year to get a glimpse of Game of Thrones, the TV show that has captured many hearts and allowed fantasy to be deeply ingrained into our minds.
I am extremely sad...and nostalgic. With each season finale, and the wait that it entails my whole being goes into a "shock-mode" and withdrawal symptoms start to be evident. From the re watching  of the episodes, to constant rewinding to the juiciest bits (Khal Drogo...."My sun and starts"), to the incessant online search for any memorabilia or replicas of the costumes, weaponry, jewelry, and the never-ending article/review perusal with  the intent to learn rationalize the magic behind this series.
Some of my favorite interactions and therefore, most missed characters shall be:
Tyrion and Shae- Their ever-growing passion was initially unexpected and paid for, but it sure did make us happy for The Imp to see some genuine affection come out afterall.
Tyrion & Lord Varys- Extreme wit at play, with two of the most cunning and genius characters on the show. Constant back & forth of pure intellect jargon and stimulation.
Arya Star & Lord Tywin- Sheer chemistry and magic on screen enhanced by the underlining tension of Arya's hidden identity along with our suspections that Twyin is no big old fool and knows exactly what is going on.
Littlefinger and pretty much anyone- He is a sly ruthless fox, with an apparent somewhat romantic inclination and shared past with Catelyn. From being the brothel's evil and merciless lord, to plotting peace treaties among warring parties, Littlefinger surely knows how to play the game very well.

And of course,

Khaleesi and Khal Drogo- It was heartbreaking to witness the imaginary/dream-like reunion of the two lovers who on season 1 made the show thrive with raw romance and passion. If the great Khal is indeed dead and lost forever from the show and books, we can safely say that he shall not be forgotten by any of his fans!
